Upstairs Furnishings At
first you might even ask what you are looking at. On the
right is a wall with a large window that has some transparency
and you can see through it. It also has some simulated
lamps and wall sockets.
Directly in front I used a transparency texture to allow me
total visibility to see out while outsiders will have very
limited visibility to see in. That is a great feature of
Second Life. The outside wall shows a wall of bricks.
Inside with the right texture added a s a picture to the wall,
you can look through the wall freely.
For the flooring I just used a redwood floor texture as
supplied by Second Life. This flooring is also the ceiling
for the first floor.

Upstairs Walls This gives
a better view of the upstairs walls. The long windows are
actually functional - meaning that you can see through them with
at least limited transparency and visibility. The
transparency was set to my tastes - allowing vision but not
distracting enough for me to think my privacy was being invaded.
Again, visibility in is different than visibility out. I
did put some visibility in the windows on the outside texture -
the ones with bricks and windows. However, that
transparency was somewhat limited in order to mostly provide
privacy for those inside.
The wall not shown in the photo on the left, would be over to
the far right. In this case I left the wall totally blank
for convenience for photo shoots for my clothing business.
This way I can photograph models with only some flooring
showing, but nothing distracting behind the models.
