Rio Casino's Free Show in Las Vegas
rpsoft 2000 casino review: The Rio Casino is just off of Las Vegas Blvd, and even on the other side of route 15. Because the Rio was not on the main street we had made the mistake of not visiting them earlier on our Vegas trips. And that was a mistake. Rio is well worth a visit. Rio advertises that it's free overhead spectacular show is the "best free show in Vegas". We agree. Ornate, highly decorated floats with dancers on board float high on overhead tracks well above the gamblers below. Meanwhile, a nice floor show goes on below and after some of the start up activities of the floats.
The show is great, and it seems to be offered multiple times a night. If one watches closely, they will also notice that the show varies at least a little each time. Fun! The Rio is associated with Harrah's, and if one takes advantage of that, it is not even far off Las Vegas Blvd. One can simply use the Harrah's / Rio free bus that continually goes between the two casinos (most hours) and not even bother to get a taxi or get their car in order to go over to the Rio. Blackjack was also fun at the Rio. I remember some of the best blackjack fun being at the Rio.
